Weddings
Laura and Dominik said “I do” on a warm and sunny October day filled with laughter, song and an all-important conga line!
The Engagement
Having checked with Laura’s dad first, Dominik got down on one knee on a family holiday in Pollenca, with a beautifully distinctive ring from the jewellery quarter in Birmingham – having been together for 10 years prior, it was a much-welcomed proposition for Laura!
Opting for a church ceremony down the road from Moxhull, Laura and Dominik knew they then wanted somewhere that was – a picture perfect backdrop combined with enough space for their growing family and friends for a good old boogie…
Moxhull ticked all the boxes for them –
“We loved that it was exclusive to our wedding, a beautiful building with stunning grounds and that we could spend the next morning continuing the celebrations at breakfast with our guests who stayed over. The marquee was perfect to hold all our guests, our 8 man band and DJ. Everything was just perfect.”
The Dress
Classically elegant, Laura chose a white satin dress from Birmingham based David’s Bridal store, which she made unique by adding satin buttons down the back & on the train and a beautiful handpicked broach to the waistband. Pairing her dress (for both style and comfort) with white Carvela’s, that she knew she would then be able to wear again! Laura choose to wear a diamond bracelet borrowed from her sister as her something old, her dress was something new and her bridesmaids fitted the something blue bill.
Blue hues were a favourite of the couple – so keeping it simple the theme for the wedding revolved around a steel blue colour teamed with whites, creams and silver. Claire from Class Invitations & Stationary – matched the steel blue theme to perfection, giving a refined feel to both invitations and table plan on the day.
With 8 bridesmaids no less!
Laura wanted her tribe to be comfortable, with four adult dresses, also from David’s Bridal, she set her criteria to full length dresses with a belt in the steel blue tone, each dress was then a different style but chosen individually by her bridesmaids. Two teen dresses came from Sutton Bridal also in the same steely blue hue and their two daughters both wore white dresses similar to Laura’s as flower girls.
The Gents
Dominik also packed a punch with his dashing team of gents – his best man, three ushers, step-dad and father of the bride all styled a classic suit jacket whilst Dominik selected tails from Dappa Dans in Wolverhampton.
The Main Event
Perry from Soirée Weddings & Events provided stunning eucalyptus and white rose bouquets, button holes, church pews & centre pieces and Imagine Events Styling dressed the tables with luxury silver table cloths, white draped chair décor and glass/silver charger plates.
A HUGE highlight of the day for everyone was a visit from singers4supper who popped up and burst into song just after the main course – what a way to get the party started! Laura and Dominik had planned the surprise for their guests creating an electric vibe for friends and family to sing along!
After dinner dancing was provided by a DJ and a UB40 tribute band in our marquee – complete with 7-tiered delicious chocolate stand for midnight snacking! This meant a massive cake was unnecessary, one of Laura’s good friends also one of the bridesmaids, handmade a simple and classic cake for the couple to enjoy.
And they lived happily ever after.
Memories
Collecting memories from the day were – Everthine Film and Photography, Laura and Dominik are thrilled with the results and could not have asked for better details in images from the day!
After the fun and frolics of the night Laura and Dominik jetted off to Lake Como for their honeymoon for a 4 night stay before returning home to their two beautiful little ones.
