Featured Wedding – August
Natasha and Kieran first booked their wedding celebrations here at Moxhull Hall back in January 2012. Since then Natasha has been planning every detail for their special day.
Natasha was almost ready when she arrived on the morning, she just had a few finishing touches to add; and put her gorgeous dress on. Natasha bought her dress from an award winning Bridal Boutique in Gloucester; and looked simply stunning on the day.
The couple so desperately wanted the ceremony to take place outside, so we prepared everything in Calliopes Garden despite a questionable weather forecast. Just as Natasha was about to walk down the aisle, the sky grew darker and thunder began to rumble. However, the ceremony continued and it was beautiful. In fact it was even more memorable, and meant they got some great (and truly unique) photographs. Natasha and Kieran also had an acoustic wind quartet during the ceremony, which was very different and gave the ceremony a really magical feel; especially as they were now playing under umbrellas being held by the ushers.
Following the ceremony the guests enjoyed a glass of sparkling rose, as the sun came through the clouds and shone on the patio. As you can see this also meant Sally Wood their photographer was able to get some more lovely pictures in the gardens.
Guests then moved to the marquee and enjoyed a three course meal of Prosciutto Caprese, Shank of Lamb with a Rosemary, Thyme and Tomato Jus and Vanilla Crème Brulee. This was all followed with Tea, Coffee and Petit Fours.
Once the guests had had time to digest the DJ kicked off the evening celebrations, and the guests were dancing all night long!
Looking back on their day, Natasha has said “It absolutely poured with rain whilst I was at the hairdressers and I was so upset because I desperately wanted to get married outside, luckily it brightened up so I didn’t think about it again until about 20 minutes before the ceremony and the sky went dark and it started to thunder! Even though the weather wasn’t the best Moxhull Hall realised my dream of getting married outside, giving all the guests umbrellas and we said our vows with the thunder rumbling! Moxhull Hall ensured the day ran smoothly and the hotel really did cater to our every whim – nothing was too much trouble. It was a magical day and we can’t thank Moxhull Hall and its team enough!”
